Meaning of the flashing red light of IQOS ILUMA

Are you seeing the red light on your IQOS ILUMA device? Let's see what the light appearing on the pocket charger or all-in-one device means, and what you need to do to resolve it.

Why does a red light appear on your IQOS ILUMA device?

  • Firmware update failure: a previous attempt to update the firmware may not have been completed successfully.
  • Device needs to reboot: over time, small errors can accumulate, causing the device to need a reboot to function optimally.
  • Interference from proximity to a magnet: being near a magnet can affect the calibration of your device, activating the flashing red light on your IQOS ILUMA.
  • Slow charging: the red light on the pocket charger of your IQOS ILUMA or IQOS ILUMA Prime may indicate that the holder is charging slowly. This commonly occurs when there is a build-up of dust or lint in the contact areas, making charging difficult.
