How to enable Bluetooth® in IQOS

You can easily enable Bluetooth® on your IQOS devices to pair with the IQOS app:
  1. Sign in to your IQOS.com account.
  2. Before entering the app, ensure Bluetooth® is enabled on your phone*.
  3. Make sure your IQOS device is nearby.
  4. Enter the app and head to the ‘device list’.
  5. Select the IQOS device you would like to pair with.
  6. Follow the instructions displayed to you based on the IQOS device selected. For most devices, to enable Bluetooth®, you must turn your device off and on. Press the power button for 4 seconds to turn the device off, and repeat to turn it back on again. This will enable Bluetooth connectivity.
For IQOS 2.4+ devices, press the Bluetooth® button for 5 seconds until the Pocket Charger’s bottom light starts blinking blue.

To disable Bluetooth®, press the power button twice for one second each time, followed by a longer 5 second press.
*On mobiles using the iOS operating system, the Bluetooth connection requires the Bluefly Bluetooth browser, which you can download from the App Store. Once installed, from that browser you must go to the IQOS APP page within the web and follow the download steps.

What should I do if my IQOS device loses connectivity to the IQOS app?

Your IQOS device might lose its Bluetooth® connectivity with your mobile phone, when:
  • Your IQOS device is out of range from your mobile phone.
  • Your IQOS device is out of battery or is turned off.
  • Bluetooth® connectivity is turned off on your mobile phone.
  • Bluetooth® connectivity is turned off on your IQOS device.
  • After a firmware upgrade.
It’s worth noting that during a firmware upgrade, your IQOS device will likely disconnect several times from the IQOS app. Your IQOS device may also blink white and red. Both of these things are normal during a firmware update, so there’s no need to worry.
Please follow these instructions in the app for a smooth firmware upgrade:
  1. If your IQOS device disconnects, make sure to reconnect it within 20 seconds.
  2. Ensure you do not exit the app during the update.
