What to do if you are having problems with the charging of IQOS ILUMA or IQOS ILUMA PRIME
My IQOS ILUMA holder does not charge
- Clean the holder: inspect the holder for debris or dust. If necessary, gently remove dirt from the contact areas between the holder and pocket charger, which will help ensure that the current is transmitted without hindrance.
- Correct positioning: when the holder's battery power is running low, insert the holder into the pocket charger correctly so that the contacts touch and the holder can be charged.
- Check the charging indicator: observe the lights on the pocket charger. The light related to the holder should start flashing, indicating that the holder is charging.
- Allow some time: let the holder charge for about 5 minutes or until the two holder lights on the pocket charger stay solid white.
My IQOS ILUMA pocket charger is not charging
- Leave your device plugged in for 2 hours for a full charge: if the battery is depleted, 15 minutes of charging time can pass with an AC power adapter and the charging cable until the yellow light starts flashing. Note that your pocket charger can power the holder for up to 20 charges only if it is fully charged.
- Check if your device is covered by warranty: if the pocket charger is not charging the holder and the status light is flashing red, this is a warning that there is a charging or battery related problem. We may be able to replace your device if the warranty is still valid. Start the warranty compliance check.
What to do if you are having problems with charging IQOS ILUMA ONE
- Check that your device is on: if it's accidentally turned off, press and hold the button for 4 seconds to turn it back on.
- Leave your device plugged in for 90 minutes to fully charge it. If the battery is fully discharged, it will take at least 15 minutes of charging time before the yellow light starts flashing.
- Check if your device is covered under warranty: If the device is not charging and the status light is flashing red, this is a warning that there is a problem with the charging or battery. We may be able to replace your device if the warranty is still in effect. Start the compliance check.
Tips for optimal charging of your IQOS ILUMA PRIME, IQOS ILUMA or IQOS ILUMA ONE:
- Use a compatible charging cable and AC power adapter such as those found in our accessories section. Non-compatible charging accessories may not be fast or effective.
- Avoid charging with a laptop or external battery, as this may slow down charging. We advise you to use an IQOS ILUMA charging base instead.
- Check the USB charging port of your device. If there is an obstruction, gently blow it away.
- Reset the device by pressing the button for 10 seconds. All lights will gradually turn off and the reboot is complete when all lights briefly flash white.
