How to choose your IQOS device: Tips to fit your lifestyle

At Philip Morris we have spent years researching to develop a better alternative to conventional cigarettes. It’s our goal to be able to offer adult smokers who would otherwise continue smoking a better alternative to cigarettes, and therefore be able to achieve a smoke-free future.
In fact, IQOS and its HeatControl™ technology are already revolutionising the market. IQOS is the number 1 tobacco heating device worldwide1, with over 12.7 million adult smokers around the world who have already switched to IQOS2.
One of the keys to our success is our constant work to improve the technology. Despite more than 10 years of research and development to launch the first IQOS model and an investment of billions of dollars, we are still carrying out research to be able to offer better, increasingly advanced alternatives to traditional cigarettes. Proof of this is the latest IQOS model, which we launched in November 2019, IQOS 3 DUO.
However, we know that not all smokers are looking for the same thing, and that everyone has different preferences, which is why we have several IQOS alternatives and models to cover the most varied demands of adult smokers, and you can choose the one that best suits you.
How many IQOS models are there?
There are currently three different models of IQOS on sale, all of which work with the revolutionary HeatControl™ technology:
  • IQOS 3 DUO: the latest model, which replaces IQOS 3, with enhanced technology that offers two consecutive uses and fast charging.
  • IQOS 3 MULTI: the perfect device for smokers who don’t want to charge after each use, you can use it 10 consecutive times without having to charge it between one use and the next.
  • IQOS 2.4 PLUS: the original device with which it all started and the most affordable alternative, highly recommended for those who want an entry into the world of heated tobacco.
If you need to see a detailed comparison, go to our website, where you’ll find a comparison of the different IQOS models in a table that explains all the features and details of the three devices currently on sale.
Why choose IQOS 3 DUO?
The new IQOS 3 DUO system provides the most advanced technology and excellent design. Unlike its precedent, IQOS 3, and its predecessor, the IQOS 2.4 PLUS, IQOS 3 DUO boasts the advantage of being able to be used twice consecutively, without the need to charge the device between one use and the next.
Another advantage to bear in mind is its charging time -in just 1 minute 50 seconds, for the first use3, you’ll have your device charged and ready to use, without the need to wait. Much like the latest generation mobile phones, which have far faster charging systems than a few years ago, at IQOS we have also improved this aspect.
It is available in 5 colours, some are limited edition, and it has the widest range of customisation options (like the exclusive aluminium door covers), there are hundreds of options to make it exclusively yours, unique like you.
Why choose IQOS 3 MULTI?
IQOS 3 MULTI is the perfect device for those smokers who don’t want to have to charge after each use, as it allows you to use it 10 consecutive times from a single charge, without having to recharge the device between one use and the next. Its compact, two-in-one design, where the charger is integral to the device, is perfect for taking it wherever you need it, practical, convenient and always ready for use.
Once you’ve finished using the device, connect your IQOS 3 MULTI to a table charger, an in-car USB charger or simply a power adaptor. It needs 75 minutes charging time per 10 uses to be ready to use again.
You can choose from 4 different colours to give your IQOS 3 MULTI that personal touch, with several customization options. Visit the website and discover the accessories available for your device, all designed with top quality materials.
Why choose IQOS 2.4 PLUS?
IQOS 2.4 PLUS is the original device that started it all, and it has the same base technology as previous models - the IQOS 3 MULTI and the IQOS 3 DUO.
It’s the most affordable heated tobacco alternative, made up of a pocket charger and a device. Like IQOS 3 DUO, this device can be used for 20 sessions, although not consecutively as you will need to charge it after each use. Approximate charging times for the device are between 4 and 10 seconds after each use, and 90 minutes every 20 uses for a full charge.
Just like the other devices, IQOS 2.4 PLUS offers you a burn-free, smoke-free, ash-free experience that produces less odour than traditional cigarettes.
It is available in two colours that can be combined with a selection of 12 coloured caps, plus leather pouches, cases and sleeves to better protect the product.
