What are the requirements and who can take part in the REFER A FRIEND programme?

Taking part in the REFER A FRIEND programme and recommending IQOS, thereby becoming a “Sponsor” is very simple, you only need to meet the following requirements:

  • you must be over 18 and reside in Spain: peninsula or Balearic Islands (the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla are excluded);
  • you must be an IQOS user and have a device (at least one IQOS kit purchased in peninsular Spain or the Balearic Islands) and be registered with the PMS (Philip Morris Spain) database;
  • employees of Philip Morris and store owners cannot take part.
  • The “Sponsor” can recommend IQOS to adult smokers interested in the device but will only receive points when his “Sponsoree” is not already registered in the PMS database as an adult user of IQOS and buys his first IQOS.

How does the REFER A FRIEND programme work?

The REFER A FRIEND programme is very simple: if you already an IQOS user with a registered device, you need merely visit the REFERRAL section of the es.iqos.com website and head directly to comparteelcambio.com, where you can request your code. Please remember that the code is personal and cannot be transferred and that you can give it to anyone you like (adult smokers) as best you see fit.

When the new IQOS user, your “Sponsoree” places his first order adding the code (as long as he has not been previously registered with the PMS database), you will both receive points that you can exchange for products available from our catalogue, designed especially for you and your adult friends.

Once he has made his first purchase, the “Sponsoree” will become a “Sponsor” and can, in turn, recommend IQOS to other adult smoker friends interested in making the definitive switch and change to a world without smoke.

What are the advantages of the REFER A FRIEND programme for Sponsors and Sponsorees?

The aim of the REFER A FRIEND programme is that IQOS users sharing their experience with and the advantages of IQOS shall obtain immediate benefits. The person making the recommendation, the “Sponsor”, will receive 20 points when t he adult smoker, his “Sponsoree”, buys an IQOS device. In turn, the Sponsoree shall also receive 20 points.

In addition, both will be able to take part in exclusive competitions run for IQOS users and obtain rewards simply for being part of the Programme.

How can I use the points of the REFER A FRIEND programme?

Consulting and exchanging the points obtained is very easy: customers adhering to the programme can see their points balance by heading to comparteelcambio.com and accessing their personal area. You must be registered with your REFER A FRIEND credentials in order to purchase catalogue products. Please remember that your credentials for IQOS.com may differ from those for comparteelcambio.com.

To exchange points, Programme participants should visit the “Catalogue” section where each prize has its value in points. Points can only be exchanged for gifts with a point value that is equal to or less than the points available to the participant.

Do devices purchased through the REFER A FRIEND programme come with a warranty?

Adult smokers purchasing their first IQOS through the REFER A FRIEND programme shall be entitled to benefit from the IQOS warranty service, just like all other users purchasing their devices through other channels.

IQOS has two types of warranty:

  • legal warranty covering any IQOS device purchased at official outlets, whether on-line or from authorised stores, for two years offering unlimited replacements for electronic or internal failures, as long as the device is used correctly and the recommendations have been applied for its use and cleaning, as given in the IQOS manual;
  • international warranty, which is an innovative service designed for IQOS users travelling abroad, guaranteeing them technical support outside Spain should they experience any problems with their devices whilst travelling in any of the countries where IQOS is available. The service includes, if applicable and possible, the replacement of the faulty IQOS device.

Can a device purchased through the REFER A FRIEND programme be returned?

Here at IQOS, our main concern is to assure an excellent customer service, therefore, if you have purchased a device, whether through the Refer a Friend programme or in any other way (from the on-line store, an authorised IQOS store or over the telephone), and are not completely convinced and therefore wish to return it, you may do so with no  problem at all within 15 days of purchase, contacting the channel where you made the purchase and returning the product with the box open or shut. What should be borne in mind is that if the Sponsoree should return his IQOS kit that led to the generation of points for the Sponsor, PMS reserves the right to eliminate said points from the Sponsor’s balance or claim back any rewards delivered.

The person returning it (the “Sponsoree”) shall automatically be removed from the system because he is not an active IQOS user and therefore does not meet the requirements to be in the programme.

How register for the programme

Each user who has purchased a device and registered it will have an associated “Sponsor” code.

In order to obtain your username and password, you will need to check your e-mail and find the IQOS welcome e-mail from when you bought it; this will give you access to comparteelcambio.com, where you can generate a password. If you cannot find it, do not worry, you have two options:

  • Go to comparteelcambio.com and request your code: you will receive an SMS text message and an e-mail to allow you to create your credentials.
  • Call us on 900 15 20 15: We will send you a welcome e-mail and SMS text message giving access.

When will your points be available?

You will receive your points automatically once the Sponsoree has made his purchase. The points obtained will remain for the 7 days assigned, but can only be exchanged in the catalogue starting from the eighth day.

A purchase has been made with my code but I do not have my points

You can monitor your referrals on your “comparteelcambio” profile and see their status. If your Sponsoree has requested a free loan but not yet decided to buy the product, the points will not yet be reflected in your account.

Take into account that if your Sponsoree has purchased the product with your Sponsor code through our on-line store, points may take up to a week to be assigned.

How to buy at the on-line store using a Sponsor code

The Sponsor code can be used by the Sponsoree when making purchases from our on-line store of his first device.

In order to enter it, select the IQOS kit you want to buy and upon completing the purchase, enter the code supplied by the Sponsor in the “Promotional Code” section. The direct discount of the quantity of points given at that point, will apply automatically.

Expiry of the Sponsor referral codes

If you are already a user and have already registered your device, you will need to access the “REFERRAL” section of our website, which is linked to the comparteelcambio.com website and request your code. This code is personal and non-transferable and does not expire. You can share it as many times as you like with all adult smokers wishing to buy their first device.
